The next thing you build is already in your files.

Forge is a tool for builders, researchers, and operators who keep more ideas in their notes than they will ever ship. We turn that backlog into a structured plan.

What Forge is

Forge is a knowledge-graph and ideation platform. You upload whatever you have already accumulated — meeting notes, research PDFs, voice memos, screenshots, drafts that never went anywhere — and Forge converts it all to a uniform format, extracts the entities and themes, and links the related pieces together.

From there, a guided ideation chat walks you through what is actually inside your vault and outputs a structured development roadmap you can hand to a teammate or paste into any AI coding assistant.

Why it exists

Most knowledge-management tools optimize for retrieval — getting back the document you saved six months ago. That is the easy half of the problem. The hard half is that the project worth shipping is rarely contained in a single note: it is a pattern that emerges from the connections between dozens of fragments scattered across folders, devices, and apps.

We built Forge because we kept watching smart people lose interesting ideas to filing-system entropy. A second brain is only useful if it can think back at you.

How the technology works

Three stages, each running on production AI infrastructure rather than handwritten heuristics:

  1. Ingest. A file-processing worker converts every supported format — PDF, DOCX, audio, images, URLs — into clean markdown. Embeddings (1536-dim) are computed per node and stored in pgvector for semantic search.
  2. Link. Entity extraction, tag matching, and embedding similarity build a dense graph of how your notes relate to each other. A profiler pass aggregates patterns across the whole vault to surface your real interests, skills, and recurring themes.
  3. Ideate. A chat agent grounded in your graph and profile runs a guided conversation, retrieves relevant context as you talk, and produces a structured roadmap at the end.

For a visual walk-through of the same flow, see How It Works on the landing page.
